That's a wrap! ~ 2025 Season Complete

Greetings my fellow sap lovers!

I apologize for the not updating this blog in some time now.  Let’s just say we had a really busy season!  A good season, with an average yield, which I am very happy with considering some of the health challenges this year.  I am happy to say we were able to fulfill all our orders and refill our pantry to boot.  There are a few orders to get shipped out this week, and we are happy to post our “Sold Out for 2025” notice on the order page.

Thank you to all of our customers!  It is always exciting to me to check off full filled orders on the master sheet.  We enjoyed visiting with some of you who came in person to pick up and see just what all goes into making our liquid gold.

The dogs are missing the daily line checks, though now that the flies are out, they are not as excited about running the trails.  We did discover that Oliver does not like to get his feet wet, and he doesn’t like the geese out on the back pond.  Farley is slowing down a little bit or has decided he needs to maintain supervision over me.  Maybe Mrs. Maple tasked him with that.

I had lots of help this season, with Maple James, Maple David, Maple Marc, Maple Annette, Maple Janet and pipeline/trail inspection by Maple Ross.

Over the next week we will finish cleaning the sugar house and delivering the last of the orders.  Then it is time for a short break.  But don’t think we get to sit around sipping ice tea and munching on maple chili lime chicken.   We are also in high level conference mode planning out season 2026.  Sugarbush management, mainline extension, replacement of lateral lines.  There’s a new pumphouse in the plans as well.  Basically Mrs. Maple is curtailing my trips to the dealer, or at least keeping my wallet sealed up.

Stay tuned on the progress and have an amazing summer!
Michael
